The MaM All-Weather Sling Cover keeps your baby warm and dry in the cold season and protected from wind, rain and insects, including harmful sun rays during the sunnier times of the year. It fits over all kinds of baby slings and carriers and can as easily be used both on the front and back (both by mum and dad!). Your hands remain free for older siblings and/or a dog.
The MaM Covers have been designed in the harsh Scandinavian climate to function wonderfully in all kinds of weather conditions. They have a six point closure and a draw string in the hem making a secure pouch for the feet of the child. The neck of a sleeping child is supported by the cover, a feature especially appreciated by active sling users. The head flap also works as an extra protection from sun rays/harsh weather when needed and can be folded down when the child is awake. A must have for every active parent.
The All-Weather Cover can also be used as a cover for car seats and strollers and as a practical changing blanket on the go.
Material: Bonded technical pongee with a windproof, waterproof, breathable membrane (MaM*tec >5000 mm) and mesh lining.
Every cover comes with an adjustable (circumference and height) sou’wester hat for the child.
Every stopper is secured with a separate cord as an extra safety procedure. We have also added safety reflector piping for enhanced visibility in the dark.
To use: secure your baby or child in the sling or carrier as normal, then hold the cover around the carrier, threading the straps over your shoulders. The straps can then be crossed or looped back round the shoulders ‘rucksack-style.’ The straps pass through the side loops and around your waist to be tied. Elastic-and-toggle drawstrings are provided to ensure a snug fit around the child’s feet and neck and the head-flap can help to support a sleepy head. The pocket is handy for little essentials, or maybe an mp3 player to listen to on your walk!
Please note: The cover is not a baby carrier. It is a garment for covering you and your baby while using a carrier. Pay attention to the security and movements of your child, especially while carrying him/her on your back. Make sure your child has good air flow at all times.
